Our lives looked very different.

Long before Blue Pond Retreat, our lives were already full—with careers we loved, family, businesses, and plenty of plans for the future.

Bob spent more than four decades in the aviation world, including years as an FBO owner and flying with the Tora! Tora! Tora! Airshow Team. Lisa has spent nearly four decades in emergency medical services and flight medicine and still flies today as a Flight Nurse-Medic.

Aviation runs deep for both of us. It began as an individual passion, became our careers, and eventually played a part in bringing us together. It has remained a cornerstone of the life we've built ever since.

Then, somewhere along the way, we found ourselves heading in a very different direction... together.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF BEGINNING

It started with a vision.

Blue Pond began as an idea Lisa had tucked away in her dream bank. When this overgrown property came along, she immediately saw what it could become—long before there was much here to look at. Bob took a little more convincing. Well, actually, a lot more.

But he agreed to take the leap, and as the land was cleared, the pond took shape, and the property began to change, the vision became something tangible. Somewhere along the way, Bob fell in love with the dream too.

What began as our vision became something bigger.

Blue Pond has taken years to become the place it is today, but one of the greatest gifts along the way was something we never planned for.

Family and close friends stepped in beside us. They shared their time, talents, ideas, tools, encouragement—and plenty of hard work. What started as our project became something we were creating with people we love.

There are stories behind so many of the things you see here. Ideas dreamed up around a table. Problems figured out as we went. Projects built by hand—and sometimes rebuilt when the first idea didn't quite work. Some of our favorite memories of creating Blue Pond came from those long days working side by side.

That was never part of the original dream, but it became one of the best parts of it—the people we love most becoming woven into the story of creating Blue Pond. Their fingerprints are all over this place, in things built and memories made, leaving pieces of their own stories here for years to come.

Is seeing Blue Pond become part of theirs.

What began as our vision has become part of so many other people's stories. Anniversaries celebrated. Birthdays and honeymoons. Proposals and new beginnings. Quiet weekends away to simply spend time together, or even a peaceful solo reset.

Since opening our doors, we've received hundreds of guest notes, messages, and reviews sharing what their time at Blue Pond meant to them.

We created Blue Pond to be a beautiful, memorable experience. Along the way, we realized something even more meaningful. What happens here belongs to our guests, their time, their memories, and now... their stories.

OUR STORY CONTINUES

And now, we're creating the next chapter... together.

Looking back, the paths that brought us here were different in many ways, but they were always connected by more than we realized. They taught us about service, caring for people, and putting our hearts into something that matters.

Blue Pond has simply given us a new way to do those things... together.

Bob pours his heart into the land itself, while Lisa pours hers into creating the experiences that happen within it. Together, we've created something that has become far more important to us than we ever imagined. Blue Pond strengthened our own connection, gave us a shared purpose, and brought a sense of reconnection and renewal to this chapter of our lives.

Maybe that's part of why creating a place where other people have room to reconnect means so much to us. We understand how meaningful that can be... because Blue Pond has given some of that back to us, too.

And we're just getting started. We continue to dream about the Blue Pond experience and all that it can become. There will be more to discover, more reasons to return, and more stories still to be written... including ours, and we hope yours, too.
